Ireland Genealogists

Our Ireland genealogists research on location. They will find and analyze the best records available to further your family history research. Because our researchers reside in Ireland, they can do searches that cannot be done anywhere else. For example, we can search post 1959 indexes to births, marriage and deaths right up to 2013. This search can not be done outside of Ireland.

    Includes Church of Ireland parish records, gravestone inscriptions, census returns, probate records, deeds, Tithe Applotment books, rebellion and outrage papers, convict reference files
  • National Library of Ireland
    Ireland’s main repository of filmed Catholic parish registers. Also has newspapers, city and regional directories, estate records, Householders Index, and Griffith’s Primary Valuation
  • Public Record Office of Northern Ireland
    Church records (all denominations) for all of Northern Ireland as well as some for the counties of Donegal, Cavan, and Monaghan. Also estate papers, gravestone inscriptions, census records, Tithe Applotment books, valuation lists
  • General Register Office (GRO)
    Births, marriages, and deaths (1864-present), Non-Catholic marriages (1845-present), Catholic marriages (1864-present)


  • Public Libraries and Museums
    Most counties and major cities in Ireland have a main library that holds estate records, newspapers, gravestone inscriptions, minute books of various local and county government agencies, poor law records, family pedigrees, and histories
  • County or specialty museums
    Include estate, military, tax, church, and business or employment records
  • Heritage Centers
    Contain Church of Ireland parish records, Catholic parish records, and census records
  • Religious Archives
    Religious archives contain records of a particular denomination, including Church of Ireland, Catholic church, Presbyterian, Quaker (Society of Friends), and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
  • Linen Hall Library
    Extensive collection of genealogical and heraldic material. Some are duplicates of records in other repositories. Others, such as printed family histories, are unique.
  • Trinity College Library
    Contains medieval manuscripts, 1798 rebellion papers, and some Church of Ireland parish records for Dublin
  • Valuation Office
    Holds the Griffith’s Primary Valuation records and accompanying maps for taxation
